Introduction: Defending your home/family with a shotgun? What kind of tips/tactics/info can I use to my advantage?
We will cover the workings and use of both pump and semi-auto shotguns. This class is not about shooting clay targets or hunting, it's about knowing your shotgun and how it is best used to defend you and your family/loved ones.
You say, "But I don't have a 'tactical' shotgun." No problem. We will teach you how to use your regular 3 shot hunting shotgun to its potential for defense. No special equipment needed. Eyes, ears, shotgun and shell pouch. If you have more "tactical stuff", bring it. If not, no problem.

Gear Required:
- Serviceable shotgun (pump, semi-auto, single shot)
- Ammo pouch or big pockets
Ammo:

#8 or # 7 1/2
birdshot: 75 rounds
- #4 Buck: 10 rounds
- #00 Buck: 10 rounds
- Slugs: 5 rounds
Personal:
- Eye and ear protection. If you don't have your own, we have a couple of spares.
- Water
- Proper clothing for weather
- Proper footwear (no sandals or open toed shoes)
- Baseball style cap recommended. Boonie style hat is OK if your ear-pro is compatible.
- Sunscreen (if desired)
- Bug repellent (if desired)
SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT
Any student who exhibits unsafe behavior or fails to adhere to the Creedmoor range and safety regulations will be warned. At the 2nd violation, the student will be removed from class.
** Students removed from class will NOT receive a tuition refund.
Refunds: 50% refund up until 2 weeks prior to course date. No refunds within 2 weeks of course date.
